The Missions tab of SOA! will be familiar to any
student who has played a video game.
Beginning with simple missions (quizzes) covering
basic skills, each success opens up more advanced
missions that require those skills.
Students are free to work as they please, attempting
missions as often as needed to succeed. They may
fail many times, but no one is recording the failures
and with each attempt they do a little better,
encouraging them to try again or study in the
Training Room where they can get more help. But
succeed they must: a mission defines an unbending
standard students must meet.
